Comic books. Everyone’s read them at some point. Since its first appearance in the United States in 1933, the comic book has been a key component of American society, introducing breathtaking visuals, intense stories and memorable characters to readers everywhere. I wish when I was young I had the foresight to know that some of the comic books in my stacks and stacks would be valuable someday! They got ripped, tossed around, given away and worst of all … thrown in the trash! Most of my comic books however are not in the list of most valuable, since I was born in 1941 and majority of mine were in the 1950s.
